Philmont Occurrence

July 2, 1972: It was the summer after tenth grade. One of the few areas in which I excelled was as a Boy Scout. I loved everything about being a boy scout and even though I was reaching the age where scouting was no longer "cool" I attained my Eagle badge and continued to be a gung ho participant. On July 2, 1972 my troop was camping at Philmont Scout ranch in New Mexico. It was your typical campout - hiking, cooking over the fire, playing capture the flag etc. But that night changed me forever.

July 2, 1972: David's first visitation by Ambassador Ekoj of the Yenohp system.

At approximately 3:00 am I woke up to visit the outhouse. As I approached the outhouse, which was about 50 yards from our campsite, I was nearly blinded by a bright light hovering just over the trees.

The blinding light was my last concious memory until I awoke in what appeared to be a well illuminated laboratory. I could tell from looking out the strange, round windows that I was in some sort of craft hovering high in the air. I was immediatly aware of someone watching me - though I could not see or hear them. I just "sensed" they were there - somewhere - observing me.

I first noticed that my glasses were gone and then, even more shocking, I realized I was nude except for what appeared to be an adult sized diaper fastened around my mid-section. Needless to say I was terrified. However, I was unable to move a muscle. At first I thought I must've been so frightened I couldn't force myself into motion but I learned later that my captors (later I would know them as my "guardians") had rendered me totally motionless.

Gradually the feeling of terror subsided and eventually a being approached me. The being "spoke" to me, but at no time did his mouth move or did I actually hear anything. He apparently communicated telepathically. He told me his name was Ekoj and that he was an ambassador from the Yenohp (pronounced yee-nop) star system. He said they had been "guiding" me since my birth and had been monitoring my "progression" by way of a small device which had been implanted in my leg when I was an infant. He said the time had come for me to "initiate the project" and that he had been sent to oversee my training.

Call me David...

My name is David. The last thing I ever wanted was adventure. I was always the kid who got sand kicked in his face. With my thick glasses (usually taped in the middle - I was clumsy and was constantly breaking them), conservative hairstyle and slight lisp I was as far from the "in crowd" as a guy could get. By the time I reached high school I was completely resigned to the fact that I would be a nobody for the rest of my life. Oh how I wish I could get back to being a nobody....

I guess I was like alot of kids who grew up in the sixties and seventies. I loved TV - particularly science fiction shows and movies like Planet of the Apes and Star Trek. In fact I would've been called a "trekkie" if the term had been invented yet. I loved to read books by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jules Verne and other sci-fi authors. However, my growing up years had a dark side; a lonely side. I was very intelligent and often other kids were threatened by my mental capacities. I was often the butt of cruel school yard pranks and many times I cried myself to sleep. I also had what I thought were vivid dreams; dreams that repeated themselves often for weeks and months at a time.

Finally, at the age of 15, my life took a turn. Was it a turn for the better....or for the worse? You'll have to decide - but this is my story.....
